Tear trough filler is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting dermal fillers into the area underneath the eyes, known as the tear trough. The tear trough is the groove or hollow that runs from the inner corner of the eye down to the upper cheek. As we age, the tear trough area can become more pronounced, resulting in a sunken or tired appearance. Tear trough filler can help improve the appearance of under-eye bags, dark circles, and hollowness by adding volume to this area. During the procedure, I will inject a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler (Redensity 2) into the tear trough area. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and plump the skin. The filler adds volume to the area, filling in the hollow and reducing the appearance of under-eye bags and dark circles. Tear trough filler is a relatively quick and non-surgical procedure that can be performed in a medical office. The results are immediate, and there is minimal downtime or recovery period.
